Chocolate Furnanigans, previously published in Eat Your Heart Out, Holiday Edition, has had some growing pains. It's been a challenge to figure out whether it belongs in the Shenanigans series or the Matchmaking Cats of the Goddesses series, since it's a crossover story, with strong ties to both. Eventually I landed on the cats series. I'll be interested to know what you think about that choice!
This story was also initially published under the title Her Dark Obsession, to align more closely with the titles in the anthology. When it came time to release it individually, though, I wanted a title more closely tied to one of the series. It took quite some time to land on Chocolate Furnanigans, but the moment it came to me, I knew it was the winner, since it purrfectly connects to both series.
Of all the stories I have written, I can honestly say that I've had the most fun with Chocolate Furnanigans, partly because Merry is such a fun character, but also because I got to revisit my favorite paranormals in the Shenanigans series AND bring my matchmaking cats of the goddesses along for the ride.
